the weather becomes very hot in July and August, and the streets are filled with tourists after being relatively uncrowded during the more pleasant months of May and June; most Greeks take their summer holiday during this time. The air becomes very dry and their is very little rainfall; the temperature can very easily climb to over 38°C (100°F) in central Greece. The ocean stays warm late into the summer, and the nightlife is just as active as the buzzing day crowds.
